Anyone or any organization that functions as a referee has own one goal: that the rules are enforced the same in ALL instances.  Nothing else matters.  NOTHING.

Anytime a referee deviates from this, he is cheating everybody; the winners, losers, society and the nation as a whole.  Whenever the rules are bent, people lose faith in the rules and some people think they can cheat.  This undermines everything.

Some referees think bending the rules is justified to keep someone from getting hurt.  This is not their job.  If the rules are wrong, then the rules should be changed.

The world is such that bad things happen to  people; that is the way the world works.  Life is a contest and there will always be losers and people getting hurt.

Just because the contest is one sided, the referee is NEVER to help the disadvantaged.

People do not like this.  Well, for the best for the world; this is the way it has to be.

Why Socialism Doesn’t Work

leave a comment »

This is a re-post from:

Within a free economy, societal equality means everyone starts the same.  Within socialism, societal equality means everyone finishes the same.  Economics students at one well-known university learned the hard way why socialism doesn’t work.

The course was on comparative economic policies.  The instructor asserted that finishing the same under the socialistic model would remove incentives to excel and the risk of failure and would ultimately lower the overall quality of life in a society.  Some students asserted that without incentives to excel or the risk of failure, people would give their best effort and altruistically excel to advance the greater good.  So, the professor proposed an experiment: on individual exams in the course, all students would receive a score equal to the average score of all students.  Students would finish the same.  The students agreed.

On the first exam, the average score was a B and all students received a B.  On the second exam, the average score was a C and all students received a C.  After successive exams in the course, the average score dropped to an F.  At the end of the course, all students received a cumulative grade of F.

Why did this happen?  The instructor learned from the lower performing students that they saw no reason to study at all.  The top performing students related that their hard work was for naught, so they studied less.

And, then what happened?  The students complained to the university’s administration that they each received an F and not a higher grade.  After confirming that the students agreed to the grading methodology and that the students chose to apply themselves less, the university’s administration left their grades unchanged.

Government must not remove the ability of the individual to excel or fail.  Similarly, government must not remove the ability of companies to excel or fail.  A company that is “too big to fail” presents threats to an economy not dissimilar in magnitude than the threats posed at the individual level.  In spite of all of the gnashing of teeth, nothing meaningful has been done about the corporate socialism that continues to exist in the United States.  Dodd-Frank is an abysmal failure.

Former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher once said that socialism is great until you run out of other people’s money.  We find that Lady Thatcher’s wisdom has greater applicability than she first thought.

This is a lesson that all need to accept.  The world would be a much better place if all would do this.

America’s Economic Downfall

leave a comment »

China is on its way to dominating the world economy.  It will soon replace the United States as the number one economic nation.

Americans do not believe this is happening and spend their efforts whining and crying about unfair competition.  This is extreme stupidity.  Economic competition is never fair, but there is nothing that can be done about it.

Americans must start competing economically.  If they do not, the United States will become a third world nation.

The world’s economic structure will not change to please Americans.  This means that Americans either compete or lose out.

The United States can successfully compete, but it must change its economic culture.

Americans are a group of LOSERS.

Are you part of this group?

Adapt or go broke.

The Big Mortgage Rip-Off

leave a comment »

Major mortgage lenders just settled a group of lawsuits relating to mortgage foreclosures.  The lenders agreed to pay about 25 billion dollars into  a settlement fund.

The lenders were CHEATED.

Why?  How?

It was a political con game.  The lenders did nothing wrong, but they have to pay a huge settlement.  The government bought votes by stealing money from the lenders.  And the lawyers are going to get a large portion of the settlement.  It is totally despicable.

The truth is that a large group of individuals borrowed money they knew they could never pay back.  Some of the borrowers were only stupid instead of crooked.  If they cannot pay back the money they borrowed, then the lenders should get their homes and the individual assets until the loans are totally repaid with interest and all costs.  Their credit scores should be zero until all money is repaid.

The mortgage lenders will get their money back.  They will tighten up on loan criteria and raise interest rates to make up the loss.

The real losers are the honest, hard-working Americans that pay their debts in full.

This is proof the United States is becoming a police state.  America is on its way to becoming a criminal society.

Every honorable, loyal American should be mad as hell.

Not Me as in it will not happen to me.  That is what everybody thinks over and over again about everything.

It will not happen to me examples such as:

-I will not get fired.

-I will not have an automobile accident,

-I will not have a serious illness.

-it goes on and on.

The reality is that it will happen to you and more than once, and to your family.  This attitude causes bad things to happen to people.

Instead, think it can happen to me.

The following was found on another WordPress blog.  Everyone should memorize it.

These are possibly the 5 best sentences you’ll ever read about economics.
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!

5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

The Safety Net and Entitlement Programs

leave a comment »

One of the most debated issues in American politics is that of the “safety net” and entitlement programs.

There is a simple solution that will end the continuing bickering forever.

The government will set up a separate account to fund these programs, with no tax dollars being used to fund the programs.

Let those who believe in these programs make tax deductible contributions to the account.

Those who do not believe in the programs are free contributing and will not be able to participate in the programs.

Social Security, medicare and other trust fund programs would be part of the entitlement program account.

The only people that will not like this solution are those that want someone else to pay for what they want.  These people are normally called criminals and sent to prison.

So, let all moral and honorable individuals work together to implement the solution today.

The FACT is that there is no reason why the program should not be implemented today.  It would solve a lot of the economic problems facing the United States and be a great first step in improving the economy.

PS:  Please no comments from anyone with excuses(which they would call reasons) why it should not be implemented; just like thieves with reason why they should not be sent to prison.

Also it is so unseemly for people to let their envy, hate and jealousy show through.
