News Media in the Shallow Ruts
Something sensational but unimportant happens.
Like the terrorist attack in France.
Then for the next two weeks, the news media hypes the event to death.
Journalism is dead!
Now: sensationalistic entertainment has replaced “hard new”.
Journalism used to be a profession of the highest integrity.
As Wilbur F. Storey said, “It is the newspaper’s duty to print the news and raise hell.”
Times have really changed.
Today, news pimps pander to lowquals.
Worse than street walkers.
The facts no one wants to read.
