NFL: Player Clothing More Important Than Integrity
The NFL told running back Marshawn Lynch, that he would be barred from playing in last week’s NFC Championship game if he wore gold cleats.
NFL requires players talk to the media but make sure to wear the appropriate headphones when they do. (The league bans players from wearing Beats by Dre headphones on camera immediately before and after a game.)
Player clothing and accessories — interferes with the marketing program
Deflated footballs giving a team an advantage — who cares, just entertainment fodder
There is also the failed drug programs, lack of player safety concerns and the Ray Rice mess.
