Health Care Costs Destroying the Economy

leave a comment »

Health care is taking a bigger bite out of the wealth of The United States, putting the entire economy in danger.

Health care costs are mounting:  health insurance premiums, the copays and the deductibles.

Each year, these costs go up faster than the year before.

Sucking the life blood out of the economy.

Businesses require employees to pay more of the burden and pass the remainder on to customers.

Businesses in The United States become less competitive.

Employees cannot afford goods and services.

People want to blame insurance companies, big business and greedy doctors.

These groups contribute to the cause of the problem.

The major malefactors are government and politicians.

Both are incompetent and corrupt.

They cause The United States to have the highest health care costs in  the world but rank about 40th in the world in health care quality(real rank is closer to 100th).

People can get better quality health care in many so-called lessor developed countries; in Central and South America, Southeast Asia.

And pay much less.

Problem is not unsolvable.

Americans could easily have lower costs and higher quality. health care.

A two factor solution:

—  individuals take responsibility for their own lives

—  change government

Most people in The United States are just going to sit around and whine.

Nobody to blame but themselves.

POLICE STATE — The United States

leave a comment »

FOUND ON THE INTERNET

The state of Michigan is not exactly known for its balmy weather this time of year.

And residents reasonably do what they have to do to cope with often extreme winter temperatures.

Last Thursday a man named Taylor Trupiano of Roseville, Michigan did what a lot of people do in cold climates.

He walked out of his house, started his car, turned on the heat, and went back inside for a few minutes while his engine and vehicle interior warmed up.

According to Mr. Trupiano, he was only inside for about 7 or 8 minutes.

But by the time he came back to his car, there was already a parking ticket on his windshield– with a fine totaling $128.

Some local police officer had apparently driven by, noticed the vehicle was unattended, written up this heinous infraction, and left.

There are so many things wrong with this picture it’s hard to know where to begin.

First off, the citation that Mr. Trupiano received was a parking ticket. Yet his car was parked on his own private property.

Let that sink in: this man received a parking ticket while his car was parked on his own property.

You can’t even park your car on your own property anymore without being in violation of some series of laws, rules, or local ordinances.

The city government’s reasoning is that, if you leave a vehicle unattended, it may encourage car thieves to steal it.

This is pretty flimsy logic.

Sure, maybe if a car thief is standing right there he/she may take the opportunity.

But it’s not like some lowlife felon is going to turn the other cheek and stop stealing cars just because there are no unattended vehicles with the keys in the ignition.

Criminals bent on theft are going to steal no matter what, just like some murderous thug in Chicago is going to find a gun and kill people regardless of local firearm regulations.

When the story broke on local news, Roseville’s Police Chief told reporters that his department is unapologetic about issuing the citation to Mr. Trupiano.

Sounding like a man who cares more about statistics than actually catching criminals, the Chief claimed that 5-10 unattended vehicles are stolen every winter, which “drives our crime rates up.”

I looked at Roseville’s crime rates. They’re high. This is not a safe place.

With a population of less than 50,000, there are nearly 2,000 property crime incidents per year.

That includes at least a few hundred car thefts– which means that 5-10 vehicles is statistically trivial.

Clearly this issue of unattended vehicles is NOT the root of the problem.

And even if all the citizens of Roseville never again left their vehicles unattended, even on a cold winter day for just a few minutes to let the car warm up, it still wouldn’t make a dent in the larger crime rate.

But that doesn’t matter.

Roseville’s city government deals with its crime problem by establishing obscure regulations to restrict what law-abiding people are allowed to do in their own homes with their private property.

It doesn’t matter whether you are aware that these ridiculous rules even exist: ignorance of the law is not an excuse.

END

Each level of government has similar laws, rules and regulation.

And their own over paid nazi storm troopers to bully and steal from honest citizens.

Freedom/liberty can only exist under minimal government.

Minimal government is all any nation needs.

Corruption And Crony Capitalism

leave a comment »

For decades, businesses have received favors in exchange of campaign donations or other kind of political support.

Government corruption.

Criminal politicians.

Higher prices and lower quality goods and services.

And it is only going to get worse.

Like it is in third world countries.

You Are Powerless?

leave a comment »

The fact is most of us cannot do much about most things.

Our purchases do not matter much. Our complaints do not matter. Our comments to regulators are virtually ignored. Even our votes do not seem to count for much.

No organization cares what any one individual does.

You are small potatoes; ignored and manipulated.

Simple answer.

Organize.

Form your own groups/organizations.

Control them yourselves.

Loss of Confidence in Government

leave a comment »

There is a “deep distrust” between almost every organization/institution and the communities they serve. A very large and growing part of the public no longer believes in the integrity of local or national government, law enforcement, health care, banking, pensions, legal systems, educational processes, media or church, just to name a few.

The public no longer believes their propaganda.

And rightly so.

The corruption and incompetence of these organization grows each day.

The solution is simple.

Personal responsibility and self-reliance.

Get involved.

Remember your integrity/honor.

Big government is never an answer.

Special Laws for the Inferior

leave a comment »

A special law gives benefits or protections to a specifically named group(s) of society.

Any such group  is a special interest group.

This is not about the rich or business.

It is about individuals.

The people in the group(s) named in such laws are INFERIOR.

Inferior means of lower quality.

Inferior as to character.

Lower quality character as in evil.

Lazy, shiftless, weak willed and criminal.

Make these people learn some personal responsibility.

Instead of good people being harmed to provide for lowquals.

Politicians always pander to trash people.

All Government Debt Is Worthless

leave a comment »

As an asset, all government debt is worthless.

No individual, business or other entity should ever buy government debt.

This means(includes) investing in government securities.

The same for quasi-government organizations or government backed debt.

No organization should loan money to any government.

Government forces financial institutions, pension funds and other regulated entities to buy government debt.

When government refuses to repay/redeem the loan/debt, what is the investor/lender to do?
