Marines Without Ammo in Cairo Embassy. “Let the Jarheads Take the Hit!”

Adopting the policy of tactical genius P. X. Kelley, the Marine Corps’ Commandant at the time of the Lebanon suicide bombing in 1983, the American Ambassador in Cairo refused to let the Marines have access to ammo. General Kelley did not let the sentries carry loaded rifles, because they might accidentally shoot someone. But he did allow them to carry ammunition in their belts, so they could load up if attacked, which they did not have time to do. Ambassador Anne Patterson took it one stage beyond General Kelley.

Evidence that this was official policy is strong: senior U.S. officials have declined to comment. If it was not official policy, they would say so.

AMBASSADOR PATTERSON SHOULD BE TRIED AND CONVICTED OF TREASON AND THEN BE PUBLICLY SHOT.

Command of the Marine Detachments protecting embassies should not be required to take orders from ANYONE that is part of the State Department.  Protection of embassies should be the sole responsibility of the Marine Corp.  The Marine Corp should set all policies and procedures for embassy security, including the right to use deadly force against anyone that looks like they are trying to breach embassy security.

Any Marine should have the authority to overrule the Secretary of State when it comes to embassy security.

Another example of u-bam-a incompetence.

Every veteran should vote for romney to show u-bam-a the reality of being an American.  They should also protect against u-bam-a and the State Department.

A Larry King interview with Bette Midler. She was talking about a falling out she’d had with Barry Manilow. Apparently, Barry had tricked her into singing on a talk show even though it is “well known” that she doesn’t like surprises. Her reaction to the surprise was so bitchy that it ruined the bit and Barry stopped talking to her. When she asked him why, he said something like this: “There are many times in our lives when we have to deal with bad news. You have a choice when that happens. You can kvetch about it and make yourself and everyone else miserable. Or you can summon up some courage and smile. You made the wrong choice. I don’t want to be friends with a person who makes such choices.”

“But he knew you didn’t like surprises,” Larry King said. “Yes,” Bette replied. “Yet he was right. I could have had a good time with it, but I didn’t. And that cost me a friendship — at least until I repaired it. Nowadays, when I find myself in a difficult situation, I realize I have a choice.”

THE ONE THAT COST THE FRIENDSHIP WAS BARRY MANILOW.  HE KNEW BETTE MIDLER DID NOT LIKE SURPRISES, BUT HE SURPRISED HER ANYWAY.  HE IS A COMPLETE JERK.  THE CHOICE IS NOT TO LET OTHERS FORCE YOU INTO DOING SOMETHING YOU DO NOT WANT TO DO.  IF JERK MANILOW WAS HER FRIEND, HE WOULD NOT HAVE TRIED TO TRICK HER INTO DOING SOMETHING SHE DID NOT WANT OR LIKE.

MIDLER WOULD HAVE BEEN WELL RID OF HIM; SHE SHOULD NEVER HAVE REPAIRED IT.  IT WAS A ONE WAY FRIENDSHIP.  MANILOW WANTS FRIENDS HE CAN MANIPULATE, WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT HE DID TO MIDLER.

BOTH ARE LOSERS, NO MATTER HOW MUCH MONEY THEY MAKE.
